Rebecca Grundmann was born in 1995 and was raised in Birmingham, England. In 2015, she moved to Düsseldorf to study art with Prof. Rita McBride, where she graduated in 2021. The time between then and now is an ongoing history that keeps changing: today, she describes herself as an artist and translator, although she earns most of her money working as a cashier in a museum.
Her work consists of ideas, thoughts and arguments that manifest themselves in many forms. Be it performance, video or drawing; a specific dish, a piece of clothing or social media; it is in the interaction with the medium itself where the artistic process emerges.
